Join The LVMH Métiers D’Excellence Tour! Paris, April 13th

JOIN THE LVMH MéTIERS D’EXCELLENCE TOUR! PARIS, APRIL 13TH

LVMH kicked off “You and ME” tour in 5 French cities to meet talented future employees, targeting both junior, high school and university students, as well as people seeking reskilling opportunities to make them discover unique savoir-faire and fill 1 200 positions available in its Métiers d’Excellence positions (Creative, Craft and Client Experience métiers).

Organized annually since 2015, the Métiers d’Excellence recruiting initiative enables a broad public to learn about a vast range of training and work/study programs or internships, as well as job offers in over 30 varied fields such as stylist, couturier, leather goods artisan and sales associate.

Dubbed “You and Me”, this eighth edition is sponsored by former NBA and international basketball star Tony Parker. With a dual live and online format, the traveling event kicks off a recruiting campaign that will run until the end of April and aims to fill more than 1,200 positions (600 apprenticeships and internships, plus 600 permanent or fixed-term contracts) available at LVMH Maisons in France, to help drive their continued growth.

First stop: Clichy-sous-Bois / March 9

The “You and ME” operation was launched in Clichy-sous-Bois, a longstanding partner of the Métiers d’Excellence LVMH, with Tony Parker in attendance. “Luxury jobs are open to all” was the key message of the event, as stated by Alexandre Boquel, Director of LVMH Métiers d’Excellence. High school students, college students and professionals in transition came in large numbers and had the opportunity to talk with all the LVMH experts and their partner schools. As Tony Parker explained, “Come with your passion, we’ll take care of creating opportunities for you ».

The agenda for this first event has included: a presentation of the Métiers d’Excellence and training programs offered by the Institut des Métiers d’Excellence LVMH (IME) and its partner schools, live demonstrations by tutors and apprentices, plus coaching sessions (résumé writing and preparing for job interviews) with Human Resources teams from LVMH Maisons.

Second stop: Reims / March 18

The second stop on the “You and ME” took place at city hall in the city of Reims.

The event drew a large number of participants eager to discover LVMH’s Métiers d’Excellence, centered here on our Champagne Maisons founded in and around Reims and Epernay.

Reims mayor Arnaud Robinet was joined by LVMH Executive Vice President Human Resources & Synergies Chantal Gaemperle to welcome junior high and high school students, as well as people interested in reskilling opportunities, all of whom came to learn more about the many exceptional métiers at LVMH. Also attending the event were Catherine Vautrin, president of the greater Reims metropolitan area, Marc-Antoine Jamet, General Secretary of LVMH, and the CEOs of Moët & Chandon, Ruinart and Veuve Clicquot.

The agenda for the day offered a deep dive into LVMH’s array of savoir-faire, with an emphasis on winemaking métiers thanks to demonstrations by Veuve Clicquot, Krug, Moët & Chandon and Ruinart. The event underlined LVMH’s longstanding local presence and strong commitments to the Group’s host communities. Louis Vuitton also showcased the expertise of its artisans.

Participants had a chance to dialogue with representatives from LVMH partners schools – EMASUP, Avize and Les Compagnons du Devoir – as well as with HR teams from our Maisons, who shared very useful tips and advice on how to prepare for their future career.

A special guest on this stop of the tour was two-star Michelin chef Philippe Mille of the Domaine Les Crayères in Reims.

Third stop: Valence / March 23

La Halle Jacques Chaban Delmas in Valence hosted this third step of the “You and ME” tour in presence of Nicolas Daragon, the city’s mayor. A city and an economic area where the Group is present with four Louis Vuitton workshops, as Nicolas Daragon pointed out.

Junior and high school students discovered the savoir-faire practised by our employees, which encompass the three families of Métiers excellence: Creative, Craft and Client Experience métiers. Among them, Louis Vuitton highlighted its expertise in flexible and rigid leather goods, Les Tanneries Roux presented their expertise in leather work, quality control and R&D. Finally, sales and hospitality were represented by virtual experiences: in shops for Parfums Christian Dior and in its hotel for Cheval Blanc Paris.

Also on the program for this day: the visit of Anne-Sophie Pic, the most starred female chef in the world whose birthplace and heart is in Valence. She was warmly received by the Mayor, the entire Métiers d’Excellence team and all the participants.

The Livers of the Valence campus also had the opportunity to meet our experts as well as representatives of our partner school, EMASUP. The LIVE Campus in Valence was inaugurated in March 2021 and enables adults over the age of 25 to return to employment.

Fourth stop: Orléans / April 1st

For the fourth and penultimate stop of the You and ME Tour, LVMH Métiers d’Excellence settled at the Zenith in Orléans, the historic home of our Perfumes & Cosmetics business. Pascal Tebibel, Vice-President of Orléans Métropole, and Marc-Antoine Jamet, General Secretary of the LVMH Group and President of Cosmetic Valley, warmly welcomed the participants who had come in large numbers to discover exciting professions.

On the program for this day: professions in the Perfumes & Cosmetics sector were highlighted along with the presence of Cosmetic Valley, the world’s leading Perfumes & Cosmetics network. The participants were able to meet a guest of choice: Thierry Wasser, Creative Director of Perfumes for Maison Guerlain, came to present his expertise and share his passion. Leather goods were also honoured with live demonstrations by Louis Vuitton craftsmen and exchanges with apprentices and Virtuosos of our Maisons.

Middle school students, high school students and people seeking reskilling opportunities thus discovered a multiplicity of know-how skilfully passed on to new generations as well as the training courses offered by the Institut des Métiers d’Excellence and its partner schools.

The extraordinary know-how and enthusiasm of the Virtuosos and their apprentices once again shone through to the future talents! Let’s hope that we have inspired many vocations!

Fifth stop / Paris, April 13th

For the final stage of its traveling tour, the LVMH Métiers d’Excellence set up shop at the Carreau du Temple in Paris. Chantal Gaemperle, EVP Human Resources and Synergies, LVMH, accompanied by Marc-Antoine Jamet, LVMH General Secretary, welcomed middle and high school students and people in retraining who came to discover the often unknown but so fascinating know-how which gives their excellence to our products and services.

Many personalities and major public figures were also present: Emmanuel Grégoire, First Deputy Mayor of Paris, Ariel Weil, Mayor of Paris Centre, Afaf Gabelotaud, Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of businesses, employment and economic development, and their teams, as well as numerous representatives of our Maisons, including Sophie Brocart, CEO of Patou, Marc Chaya, CEO of Maison Francis Kurkdjian, and Francis Kurkdjian, Director of Perfume Creation at Parfums Christian Dior & Artistic Director and Perfumer-Creator of Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Agnès Perrin-Turenne, Deputy President of the Tony Parker Adéquat Academy, also honored us with her presence to represent Tony Parker, sponsor of the You and ME tour.

Throughout the day, participants were able to interact with our Virtuosos and our apprentices to immerse themselves in the richness of their profession and through live demonstrations of their know-how. In addition to these moments of meeting, they were also able to discover the programs of the Institute of Métiers d’Excellence and our partner schools and associations, including the Ecole de la 2e Chance and Le Refuge, which took part in the event.

Among the Maisons of the LVMH group: Celine, Louis Vuitton, Parfums Christian Dior, Make Up For Ever, LVMH Recherche, Le Bon Marché and La Grande Epicerie, Jardin d’Acclimatation, Cheval Blanc Hotels.

1,200 young people are expected to attend during this last day, to exchange, share, and hopefully feel a calling to join our crafts.

Next-Generation RWD V10 Previewed at the Lamborghini Lounge NYC and Presented at the New York International Auto Show

Sant’Agata Bolognese/New York, NY, 13 April 2022 – The newest addition to the Huracán range, the Huracán Tecnica, made its North American premiere this week in New York City at a private event leading up to the long-awaited return of the New York International Auto Show.

Presented at the Lamborghini Lounge NYC, located in the heart of the Chelsea Arts District, the Huracán Tecnica captivated guests at an exclusive evening event on April 12th. Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, welcomed long-time Lamborghini customers, VIPs and media together with Rouven Mohr, Chief Technical Officer, Mitja Borkert, Head of Design, and Federico Foschini, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer.

“It was a special moment for me to be back in New York City unveiling our new masterpiece to customers and friends of the brand in our Lamborghini Lounge, showcasing our brand’s ethos and design DNA,” said Stephan Winkelmann. “The Huracán Tecnica delivers the advanced evolution of the Huracan’s technical prowess with outstanding aerodynamics for heightened performance, stability and ease of use. These qualities make it the ideal, versatile car to drive both on the road and the track. In 2022, as we celebrate the internal combustion engine, the dramatically evolved design of the Huracán Tecnica delivers the physical sensation and extreme emotion that fans of the brand have come to expect from Lamborghini.”

The Huracán Tecnica takes its engine from the Huracán STO and, while producing 640 CV — an increase of 30 CV over the Huracán EVO rear-wheel drive (RWD) — the powertrain also delivers 565 Nm of torque at maximum 6,500 rpm and improved acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. The lightweight Tecnica’s recalibrated LDVI system and distinctly tuned driving modes with specific suspension set-up, rear-wheel direct steering, and innovative brake cooling improvements allow the driver to experience the perfect Huracán for every occasion: the Huracán Tecnica exploits its talents to deliver the best of both worlds – a poignantly versatile super sports for road and track.

The arrival of the Huracán Tecnica marks a historic start to the year in which Lamborghini announced record breaking results for 2021 in terms of sales, turnover and profitability. The United States remains the largest single market globally with a total of 2,472 vehicles delivered in 2021, an increase of 11% over 2020.

The new Huracán Tecnica will be on display at the New York International Auto Show for public viewing from April 15th to the 24th.
