ZENITH Continues Unwavering Commitment To Fight Against Breast Cancer

ZENITH CONTINUES UNWAVERING COMMITMENT TO FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER

During the MEET THE DREAMHERS event on October 12 in Singapore, ZENITH unveiled a special edition of the Chronomaster Original with a pink dial, underscoring its ongoing commitment to the global fight against breast cancer in partnership with Susan G Komen®, the world’s leading breast cancer organization and largest funder of breast cancer research.

Founded by Nancy G. Brinker, the organization works tirelessly to save lives and find a cure to breast cancer that is touching a growing number of women and men around the world. The foundation takes a holistic approach, fighting the disease on every front and supporting millions of people across the world. This eminently worthy cause resonates with the watchmaking Manufacture’s “ZENITH Horiz-on” initiative based on gender equality and women’s empowerment.

With the DreamHers platform, ZENITH promotes a space for visionary women to inspire people to pursue their dreams and achieve them against all odds. Last Wednesday in Singapore, these women shared their stories, while highlighting this unique partnership with Komen.

On this occasion, aligned with the brands’ strong advocacy for the cause, ZENITH has released a special timepiece: Chronomaster Original Pink. With a unisex 38mm steel case and a pink-toned sunray-patterned, the Chronomaster Original Pink is a limited edition available for sale only during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, from October 1stto October 31st. 20% of the proceeds from the sale of this timepiece will be directly donated to Susan G. Dior Teams With Thebe Magugu For An Exclusive Capsule Collection Supporting The Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project

DIOR TEAMS WITH THEBE MAGUGU FOR AN EXCLUSIVE CAPSULE COLLECTION SUPPORTING THE CHARLIZE THERON AFRICA OUTREACH PROJECT

Initiated by Maria Grazia Chiuri, this collaboration showcases a new generation of fashion designers who conceive and make their creations in South Africa, the native country of longtime Dior ambassador Charlize Theron. The Creative Director for Dior Women’s collections wanted to deepen support for CTAOP, a foundation created in 2007 to aid youth in Southern Africa, both financially – a donation has been made on behalf of Dior – and artistically.

This dialogue between Paris and Johannesburg debuts with Thebe Magugu, winner of the 2019 LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers. The first African to receive this prestigious distinction, the 28-year-old designer continues to celebrate powerful women in his creations. His clothes, he says, are “a constant ode to the powerful and independent matriarchs who raised me.” The designer’s storytelling approach is inspired by a cross-fertilization of the various disciplines he studied, spanning fashion design, photography and media. Launched in 2016, his eponymous brand recounts the stories and crafts on which it thrives, becoming a sort of encyclopedia. His clothes proudly act as reminders that future generations can look back on to better understand cultures and peoples.

Reinterpreting the iconic New Look through a contemporary feminist vision, Thebe Magugu presents a collection that revisits essentials such as the emblematic Dior Book Tote crafted in a large format in the Dior Oblique fabric, expressing the Maison’s expertise.  A design of two female profiles holding hands – a symbol of sisterhood – adorns a cotton t-shirt produced entirely in South Africa. The same graphic is reprised in bright yellow on the Diorcamp bag, as well as on a silk twill scarf constellated with the Dior signature. The hyper-modern, hybrid silhouette is echoed in a matching bob adorned with two drawstrings, a distinctive feature of the designer’s creations.

This limited-edition capsule collection was released on October 27.

TOILE DE JOUY CANDLES

Dior Maison candles perfume interiors with an irresistible hydrangea trail. Atribute to Monsieur Dior’s passion for gardens, this scent evokes nature and dawn, exalted by the morning dew. Its singular floral imprintis magnified by delicate notes of citrus, herbs and moss.

Heightening this unique sensory experience, these objects of desire are presented in boxes patterned with toile de Jouy, the House’s iconic code. Reinterpreted by Maria Grazia Chiuri, the signature motif that decorated the walls and counters of Christian Dior’s very first boutique, “Colifichets,” is now available in blue*, red and gray**. An invitation to celebrate and reinvent the art of giving– to others or oneself– that the founding couturier cherished.
