LVMH Brings Tap To Pay On IPhone To Its US Stores, Creating A New And Enhanced In-store Experience

LVMH BRINGS TAP TO PAY ON IPHONE TO ITS US STORES, CREATING A NEW AND ENHANCED IN-STORE EXPERIENCE

Tap to Pay on iPhone provides an easy, secure and private way to accept in-person contactless payments at LVMH stores using iPhone – no additional hardware needed.

At this year’s Viva Technology show, LVMH announced that it will begin rolling out Tap to Pay on iPhone to select LVMH Group stores in the US later this year, offering a seamless and secure payment experience. With Tap to Pay on iPhone, the LVMH Group client advisors can accept Apple Pay, contactless credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets anywhere in the store simply by using their iPhone and a partner-enabled iOS app – no additional hardware needed, regardless of the purchase amount. Tap to Pay on iPhone will be available in the LVMH Group Houses in the US later this year, starting with Sephora, Christian Dior Couture, Celine, Tiffany & Co. and Louis Vuitton.

“Our stores are the prime showcase for the excellence of the products we create, and we do everything possible to guarantee that the customer experience is absolutely impeccable, from the moment people walk in the door to payment for a purchase. The introduction of Tap to Pay on iPhone in LVMH US stores will contribute to offering our customers a purchase experience that is fluid, transparent and protected. This solution also reflects the growing demand among our customers for contactless payment and digital wallet transactions,” says Franck Le Moal, LVMH Group IT Director.

Apple’s Tap to Pay on iPhone technology uses the built-in features of iPhone to keep the customers’ data private and secure. When a payment is processed, Apple doesn’t store card numbers on the device or on Apple servers.

The introduction of Tap to Pay on iPhone by LVMH is the next step in the group’s clienteling strategy. Today, all the group’s customer advisors are equipped with a dedicated clienteling app allowing them to access the product catalog as well as various CRM tools, and offer customers tailor-made support in their buying journey.

Fendi Presents Men’s Spring/Summer 2024 Collection In “FENDI Factory” Setting In Florence

FENDI PRESENTS MEN’S SPRING/SUMMER 2024 COLLECTION IN “FENDI FACTORY” SETTING IN FLORENCE

Silvia Venturini Fendi, Artistic Director of Accessories and Menswear, presented her elegantly utilitarian Spring/Summer 2024 Men’s collection at the innovative new FENDI Factory in the Tuscan hills. Opened in 2022, the FENDI Factory is designed for artisans of the future and is expected to craft 35 to 40 percent of the Maison’s leathergoods. The collection is both a celebration of this new adventure and an historic return to Florence, where Silvia Venturini Fendi’s grandmother Adele Fendi learned the craft of leatherworking nearly a century ago.

Presented in the atrium of the FENDI Factory, the collection celebrates the archetype of the ‘corporate artisan’ with sophisticated expressions of FENDI craftsmanship. A workwear vibe was omnipresent in the silhouettes, including a repurposed apron and tools tattooed on a bag. Games of proportion abound, from shrunken ribbed body tanks to high-wasted suit trousers and knee-length dress shirts buttoned to the elbow.

Materials include light summer wools and nettle fiber knitwear, yarn-dyed with vegetal pigments of acacia, juniper, henna and poppy. Woven paper textiles and silk follow in the same spirit. In homage to the Italian art of basket weaving, FF ‘tweed’ is woven into coated cotton and linen shirts or a featherweight knit shearling coat. Trompe l’oeil effects showcase the prowess of artisans, from tonal jacquards and cotton floral embroidery to a contrasting tack-stitch motif for evening. The color palette features warm and comfortable neutral tones of green, terracotta and blue alongside traditional FENDI black, grey, beige and white.

The accessories collection is a playful exploration of the ‘corporate artisan’ with woven baskets and jacquard lunch bags or embroidered raffia bags. The collection is punctuated by the FENDI Kengo Kuma project, a new artistic dialogue between Italy and Japan that applies Kuma’s architectural principles to PeekabooBaguette Soft Trunk and FENDI Flow sneakers constructed in traditional waranshi paper, woven bamboo, birch bark and Tusan olivewood.

Accessories designed by Delfina Delettrez Fendi, Artistic Director of Jewelry, play on everyday elements from the FENDI Factory with an irreverent twist, such as locker key-shaped pendants, ‘Made in Fendi’ dog tags, ‘StaFF Only’ pins and 1925 hoop earrings.

CHAUMET CELEBRATES FOUR WINNERS OF FIRST ECHO CULTURE AWARDS

At the first edition of the Echo Culture Awards in Paris last April 18, Chaumet celebrated women in diverse realms who are promoting culture. Held at the Philanthro-Lab de Paris, the awards ceremony welcomed members of the jury and friends of the Maison. These awards support women whose front-line engagement is essential to nurturing culture in all its forms.

The first edition of the Echo Culture Awards, hosted by actress Sandrine Kiberlain, saw four women honored for their cultural and artistic projects, selected from among 151 candidates. The first category prize went to the Paris Mozart Orchestra founded by Claire Gibault. The association works to bring music to a broad public through a range of programs, including masterclasses, events at schools, as well as solidarity outreach in prisons, nursing homes and psychiatric hospitals. The prize in the second category was won by La Caravana Obscura, a project led by Lolita Bourdet which introduces people to photography thanks to a mobile trailer that has been transformed into a film development laboratory. A project called Jeunes Prodiges, which encourages young people aged 12 to 16 to pursue their passion for writing – right up to the publication and sale of their books – was the winner of the prize in the third category. The jury, comprising François Alu, Ingrid Brochard, Mercedes Erra, Cédric Fauq, Loïc Yviquel and Chaumet president Jean-Marc Mansvelt, also awarded a Special Encouragement Prize to the Transplantation project led by Amandine Nana. This arts library, exhibition and workshop space is specialized in artistic creations by members of diasporas.

The grants received by the winners —  €50,000 for the first category — will enable the talented project leaders to develop their initiatives and continue to support culture and solidarity.
